Papirøen, officially called Christiansholm, is transforming from a former industrial area in Copenhagen's inner harbor into a vibrant new urban district. The newly developed island is centrally located opposite the Drama Theatre and the Opera House and is currently undergoing redevelopment: the old paper warehouses are being replaced by a mix of apartments, cultural venues, grocery stores, and recreational spaces. Denmark's most expensive apartment is also located here.

The planetarium features exhibits on everything related to astronomy, our sky, and the planets, especially for children. It's located right by the southernmost of the lakes and has comfortable seating (steps) directly by the water, perfect for a pleasant visit during the summer months.

Anyone interested in space will find plenty to enjoy here: a fantastic interactive exhibition packed with facts. Every one to two hours, 45-minute films with various programs about the universe are shown in the dome.
