This trail can be very busy in the summertime in the towns. The areas outside of the towns are much quieter and have more scenic vistas.

This is a very nice State Beach with a "dune Lake" as well as a developed beach area. Nice stop for a dip in the ocean or a paddle on the lake.

If you are tired of the traffic and congestion take a ride out here in the residential area. This quiet little park is very relaxing and has a fantastic view of the Choctawhatchee Bay.

A great little park amongst all the hustle and bustle. There is beach access but you have to walk some distance to it. I did see a trolley that seemed to stop at various places so maybe that gets you closer? 🤷🏿‍♂️. The trails are all wide. Biking on some of the unpaved roads is hard because of all the sand. Plenty of firm trails to pedal on though.

Western Lake, spanning 100 acres, is the second largest of the coastal dune lakes. With a maximum depth of around five feet, it's a popular area for water sports. This vantage point from a bridge offers stunning elevated views of the lake.

This spot leads to a beautiful dock with waterfront views of Choctawhatchee Bay. It's one of the many places where you can take a break and enjoy the area's natural beauty.

Lake DeFuniak is the centerpiece of Chipley Park, a popular birdwatching area on the Florida Birding Trail. Here, you’ll find people kayaking, boating, and paddleboarding. A nice paved path takes you all the way around the lake.
