This trail takes you to the heart of the mountain in its purest form. From Hospice-de-France, at an altitude of 1,385 metres, it takes you to the port of Vénasque, which marks the French-Spanish border at 2,444 metres. More than 1,000 metres of ascent surrounded by Pyrenean peaks, the effort is worth it.

At the end of the Pique Valley is the Hospice de France. Dating back to the 17th century, this inn has always been intended to receive travelers who venture here. It is located in a superb green setting not far from the Franco-Spanish border.

The Vénasque refuge is nestled at the foot of the pass of the same name. Bordered by Boums (lakes), it offers a very pleasant resting place by opening an impressive panorama on the valley which it dominates. In total, the refuge offers 36 beds.
