Alfred Victor de Vigny, or Count of Vigny, is a poet born March 27, 1797 in Loches. French writer, novelist, playwright and poet. He wrote alongside a military career that began in 1814 and published his first poems in 1822.

The Royal City consists of a keep and the royal residence. Built from the 11th to the 16th century on a rocky promontory, these monuments are surrounded by a wall. Visits are possible all year round and include the keep, the royal residence, the park and the underground.

This pyramid is part of a group of four pyramids aligned along a forest path in the forest of Loches which served as a rallying point for teams of hunters operating in the forest and takes its name from its proximity to the Chartreuse du Liget .

Loches is a less well-known town in Indre-et-Loire, but just as beautiful as its neighbors on the banks of the Loire such as Amboise or Chaumont. It is located on the edge of the Indre. In addition to a remarkable town center built entirely in tufa stone, it houses a castle built around the 11th century keep belonging to the old fortified castle. The imposing royal home of the Plantagenets has long served as a prison. You can visit it all year round.

Pretty community on the Indre with highlights worth seeing, such as the castle and the historic town center. The large forest at the gates of the village is great for excursions by bike or on foot.
