Spiaggia della Purità, the Gallipoli people are rightly proud of it. The only beach in the historic center close to the city walls.

It is a classic fortified structure deeply renovated over the centuries on a pre-existing Byzantine and medieval structure.

Its Seafront and Historic Center are an unmissable destination.

I still remember the "Tubettini with fish sauce" soup consumed near the fountain... flavours, atmosphere and friendliness of times gone by!
