This part of the trail is only recommended for e-bikes as it is too flat and has over 200m of ascent, which drains the last bit of strength from your legs. My conclusion: the longest trail in Switzerland is a pointless piece of hiking trails, it has nothing to do with a real trail.

Called Stafelalp

About 20 traditional wooden houses make up the Stafelalp, which was founded by the Walser people 500 years ago. One of the huts – the Berghaus Stafelalp – offers food and drink, which is always a welcome addition during a trail run through the Davos mountains. The Berghaus building is 250 years old, and it looks just as cozy! Information from the website: It is open every weekday in summer 2025 from May 29th, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can pay with cash or TWINT.

A visit to the restaurant is worthwhile!

A beautiful hut with a great young team. You can sleep in the camp beds. Dogs are allowed to stay in the room overnight. You can then simply sleep on a mattress 😊 Or the dog can sleep alone in the shed and you can sleep in the camp bed too 😉 Meals: half board The sunset is an absolute highlight 😍

The fine Schesaplana Hut is located at 1,908 m. It offers overnight accommodation in the camp or in double rooms. Dogs are allowed in the double rooms. Half board is offered (it was great). Very friendly team 😊

Strela Pass 2346 m A wide, grassy pass from Davos to the Haupter Tälli. The pass is dominated to the east by the Gross Schiahorn and to the west by the 2636-meter-high Strela. The Strela Pass has been one of the classic Walser routes since the 14th century.
