The Gemmi Pass is a 2268 m above sea level[1][2] high mountain pass in Switzerland. It is located in the Valais municipality of Leukerbad in the Bernese Alps and forms a north-south connection between Kandersteg in the Kandertal (canton of Bern) and Leukerbad in the valley of the Dala. The pass is on the ridge between the Daubenhorn (2942 m above sea level) in the west and the Plattenhörner (up to 2855 m above sea level) in the east. Can be reached through the beautiful new restaurant. Nothing needs to be consumed to get to the platform.

When coming from Visp from Neubrück, be sure to take the old cantonal road on the western side of the valley. This climb is a very special jewel among the pass roads, the piste is excellent, the characteristics varied. Only on very hot days can the climb be a little strenuous due to very little shade - in such cases, getting up early helps a lot.

There are an incredible number of hiking options up here, with all levels of difficulty; there is practically something for everyone 🙂
