A short but steep section of the Etsch Cycle Path near Algund. It consists of eight small bends.

A beautiful tour with little traffic. The route through the Martell Valley ends in a hiking area; it's not a through road. There are repeated climbs that are quite challenging, whether through the tunnels or at the end, where one hairpin bend follows another. I had to admit defeat and pushed the last 500 meters. The air is thinner at 2,000 meters above sea level, but it doesn't diminish the sense of achievement of reaching the top. I'll be back and try again. Be careful on the descent; the road surface isn't good everywhere.
