A small mountain cluster of scattered houses with a pond and a wonderful view. Highly recommended.

Lake Chironico can be reached from Chironico (782 m) in the Leventina Valley or from Sonogno (918 m) in the Verzasca Valley. From Chironico you first go to Cala (1467 m), from where you can go directly to Lake Chironico (1763 m). From there you can descend via Passo Piatto (2108 m), Capanna Cognora (1938 m), Cabioi (1079 m) and then down to Sonogno in the Verzasca Valley.

There’s a nice hiking trail next to the river. On the other side there is a road which gives a bit easier access to the spot.

Public transport ends at Sonogno and the street is only used by residents and cyclists.
