The Egelsee in Bern, also known as Egelmösli, is a small lake in the southeast of the city. It lies at an altitude of 549 meters above sea level and is fed by the Wysslochbach. The lake has an area of about 1.52 hectares and is surrounded by a picturesque park that extends to the Paul Klee Center.

Simply beautiful! Blue lake with a long arched bridge, swans and a snack bar. What more could you want.

The Moossee offers numerous recreational opportunities such as swimming, fishing, boating and hiking. The well-developed hiking and cycling trails around the lake are particularly popular. There is also a lido and several barbecue areas that invite you to linger. The rich flora and fauna around the Moossee also makes it an interesting destination for nature observation.

Beautiful area. In this passage the route leads over a pasture that is not always passable, cows/bulls in the pasture. A large gate with a sign saying that the gate cannot be opened. Alternative route via the bank path. Has lots of stairs, steep terrain. Very slippery and difficult on wet ground. When the weather is nice there are lots of walkers/hikers. As beautiful as it is, I recommend choosing an alternative route.
