Best lodge in Samoborsko gorje. Food is great, domestic, not so expensive, not to crowded place because there are no cars (like on Japetić). Paths are not to hard, views are beautiful (from Ptičji vrh and Oštrc specially). Craft beer is also TOP :-) 10/10

the Žitnica ranch house on Japetić (815 m) was built by HPD "Jastrebarsko" between 1951 and 1955 on the top of a meadow called Žitnica. The home has a spacious dining room, kitchen, terrace and 3 rooms with a total of 21 beds. It is supplied with food and drinks.

Mountain lodge Žitnica on Japetić (815 m) was built by HPD "Jastrebarsko" between 1951 and 1955 on the top of a meadow called Žitnica. The home has a spacious dining room, kitchen, terrace and 3 rooms with a total of 21 beds. It is supplied with food and drinks. It is open Friday afternoon, Saturday, Sunday, holidays and by appointment.

Mountain lodge Željezničar on Oštrac is located on a small mountain saddle below the peak of Oštrac, facing east. The home offers a beautiful view of Zagreb and Medvednica, and for good visibility, you can see the home itself from Zagreb.

Sveta Gera is the highest peak of Žumberačka gora. It is located almost on the Slovenian border. The top is a wide undulating glade 350 meters long. Near the top is a disputed military facility that was abandoned by the former JNA in 1991, after which it was occupied by the Slovenian army. Since 1923, Slovenians have called the peak Trdinov vrh after Janez Trdina, a writer from Novi Mesto. The old name is much older, and comes from the 15th century Church of St. Jer, which is located a few hundred meters from the summit on the Slovenian side. Near the top are the remains of the Church of St. Elijah. Slovenian radio and television has built a tall television tower nearby. The top is marked with a geodesic pyramid, from which there is a wonderful view in all directions. On the wall at the base of the pyramid, there is a hiking stamp.

Just a small update regarding working hours - according to information from HPD Jastrebarsko, the home is open: - on Thursdays and Fridays from 12:00 - 8:00 p.m - on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m
