The church is the former provost's house of the Benedictine monastery of St. Blasien. It was built in 1283 as a chapel, and in 1698 the church was expanded into a church.

This stop is just one of several along the so-called Zeidlerpfad (Beekeeping Trail), which provides information about beekeeping in earlier times and about bees in general. This stop is located at the Goldenhof.

...Yes, they have a knick-knack shop upstairs in the cafe with lots of homemade items, and they organize a varied events program; see the Matto web link above. They're also planning to create three new apartments in the attic, in case anyone falls in love with life in Urberg. The mining museum next door is a must-visit soon; its financial and personnel future is pretty uncertain (2025).
