A great view, but no cyclists are allowed to use their bikes on the bridge. This is strictly enforced however there is a sidewalk you can walk your bike on.

The White Square Trail is one of the more popular trails in Sourland Mountain Preserve. This trail leads you gently up to the top of the mountain. As the name suggests, the trail is marked by white squares.

The Sourland Mountain County Preserve is a beautiful woodland nature preserve run by the Somerset County Park Commission. There are several miles of well-maintained hiking trails that weave through the park.

This segment goes alongside the D&R canal. There is a good view of the canal from this segment. Very quiet road on the weekdays, could be a little busy during the weekend with traffic

This segment is great going up through Skillman to the top of the mountain. The Gradient is only 1-2% at times, easy climb over the course of 3-4 miles. The descent is very rewarding, fast hill, no surprises at the bottom or weird turns. Hang out in the drops!

Really nice bridge that goes over the Raritan. Wood mill is visible from the bridge. Definitely worth making part of your route
