This is a public beach but it is NOT easy to get to as there is allot of construction in the area. I did not go all the way out as I did not want to drag my bike through the sand that far. you have to take some roads to get here although you can ride on the sidewalks here. I recommend the road - Safer.

Don’t know where the stinky part was, I thought it was nice. Just about the straightest section of trail out here that had some nice ups and downs. Always staying to the right in either direction of travel when the trail braids is the key to enjoyment.

Carbo is a good workout. I rode counter clockwise and it was a great mix of uphill and downhill. The trail makes great use of this terrain. Maybe they ought to change the name to cardio. Hammer up the hill and recover on the downhill, a great section for “interval” training.

You can walk past this weather station to have a view of Destin or to get to other beaches towards Destin

This steel and concrete bridge, built in 1966 to replace a vintage structure, takes you over the Intracoastal Waterway right next to Choctawhatchee Bay. A nice pedestrian path runs along the bridge, offering great views of the area.

Head south on Highway 98 to Henderson Beach Road for a short 0.2-mile detour to the beach. This beach is surrounded by sand dunes and shrubs, as well as clean facilities like restrooms and a boardwalk. The beach has white sand and turquoise waters.

The Main Street of Crestview is dotted with historical buildings, restaurants, bars, and more. Though Crestview is a quieter town, any liveliness is sure to go on in this area. Crestview sits at an elevation of 236 feet above sea level, and if that does not seem like much, keep in mind that it is one of the highest points in the state of Florida.

Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park is only a half mile northeast off State Road 20. It's hard to miss the entrance; there are a few tall flags and a big sign reading "Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park." This park not only has camping, saltwater fishing, boating, and more, but you can also look close and find relics from the time when this park was part of a World War II training site.
