Very nice, easy hiking trail. The entire first section was designed so that it is easy to walk with a stroller and for older hikers. Wheelchair users can also manage the trail with help. From the viewing platforms and bridges you can watch the waterfalls and rapids from the unbridled power of the water. There are also rest stops along the trail. At the exit of the cataract you come to the rustic Tschangelair Alm. Here you have the opportunity to take a short rest before heading to the end of the first stage.

There is a ticket office and a toilet at the entrance to the Gilfenklamm. There are no toilets in the gorge itself.

We wanted to go through the Gilfenklamm. It's still available until May 26th. closed. We're around the outside of the ruins. The path would be beautiful in itself if the path in the upper area was not very difficult due to felled trees and a lot of brushwood.

Out of season a really nice Sunday round. If you have the strength afterwards, you can go directly to stage 2 and if you really have a lot of time, stage 3. Stage 1 is very easy to master with the children. The festive evenings where the waterfall is illuminated are also an absolute highlight.
