A beautiful piece of contemporary history! Highly recommended!

St. Mary's Church can be seen from far away, it is actually the second largest church in Thuringia. A tour of the tower is highly recommended, which is offered every Monday during the main tourist season. An interesting tour and a very beautiful panoramic view! If you look a little more closely from the outside you can see three partridges on the northern side choir - a very interesting story lies behind it!😉

A really great and creative part of the cycle path with a variety of remarkable wooden sculptures. A big thank you to the initiators and creative people who created these sculptures and donated them for us to enjoy!

The tower structure is a true masterpiece, especially by carpenters but also by slaters. I don't want to see the construction plan of the framework for the main tower and the four attached corner towers. A very atypical but successful construction!

The Frauentor is the only one of the former city gates of the inner city wall in Mühlhausen that has been preserved. In the immediate vicinity, from Herren-/Holzstraße, is the entrance to the city wall, which is accessible for a length of around 370 meters. The city wall was originally 2.8 km long, 2.2 km have been preserved to this day, of which a little more than 300 m is accessible.
