3월 10, 2025, Folly Dolly Falls
If you’re driving park on The Cobbles, the road that goes down the side of Morrisons- there’s plenty of room! But the main thing to remember about Folly Dolly is it come after heavy rain! In the summer it can be a tricky rock face, after heavy rain you can hear it miles away.

About the Hewenden Viaduct: A good example of Victorian Engineering; this is one of the tallest viaducts in Britain. This railway link between Keighley and Thornton was crucial to the booming textile industry of the Pennine foothills. Train traffic stopped in the 60's and the viaduct was re-opened to pedestrians and cyclists in 2005.

8월 31, 2024, Beckfoot Bridge
Beckfoot Bridge is a super attractive and historic stone-built packhorse bridge over Harden Beck. Alongside it is the ford that it was built to complement back in 1723. At the time, two contractors were paid £10 to not only build the bridge but also to maintain it for seven years.

Old path, looks to be to the quarry site. Nice hike in the woods and some nice decent lines for MTB

If you fancy a swim in the stream, then I recommend a trip in summer. If you just want to walk and enjoy the waterfall then I suggest going over the winter months or at least when it's been raining heavily. Has someone else commented, the trail is very slippery when wet, so decent footwear and a degree of care is needed, it's well worth it though.

Excellent views from Ireland Bridge. If it is rainy it could be a bit slippery.

Great Northern Railway Viaduct no longer in use. Amazing views, and a short walk from 1 end to the other over the top of this. Definitely worth a stop if you are visiting nearby villages like Haworth.

Beautiful waterfall just off the Meltham Greenway. Accessed via steps through a gap in the fence. You can hear the waterfall before you see it!

The water was icy cold today but it is a known bathing spot for wild swimmers/dippers. Do take care though - the flow becomes extremely fast and forceful after rain fall and the section below the main fall is very deep.

A really interesting structure - quite magical as it appears in front of you out of the pines. Such a shame it has some graffiti on it - would be great if the council could get it cleaned up - things like this are worth preserving! The Ruin, as it is called on the earliest OS maps, was built by Benjamin Ferrand and is inscribed with his initials and the year 1796. Also known as Ferrand’s Folly, or Harden Grange Folly, there is no explanation for why it later became known as St David’s Ruin.
