Another classic Deeside white suspension bridges. There is a bench nearby to enjoy the views. At the far side the gate is locked so using as a crossing is not possible. To get on to the bridge walkers must approach from the south side.

Did take a dip here but the water is nicer at the falls.

Queen Victoria's Picnic Hut that overlooks the Punch Bowl has been beautifully restored and is open to look around during the summer season. Well worth a visit.

A superb and atmospheric place - plan this in a a coffee or lunch stop!

The Ballochbuie Forest which surrounds the falls is a fine example of the ancient Caldeonian forest that would have once covered the area. The cast iron footbridge above the falls was built in 1878 and offers a great view of the river. Good swimming spot below the falls if you dare!

A spectacular large, bowl-shaped cavity next to a narrow waterfall, it has been said that the Earls of the nearby lands would place a ceremonial punchbowl on top of the hole and drink from it after successful hunting expeditions?

Stop by the atmospheric ruins of the Slugain shooting lodge in Gleann an t-Slugain

Aka Bridge of Dee. Gives access between the Balmoral and Invercauld Estates across the river Dee and the A93.

Kind of almost mandatory to cross the Quoich Water here using the wooden footbridge. The bridge makes for an excellent viewpoint of this natural feature. There's a new road bridge 300m south.

One of the few ways to cross the River Dee and between the Invercauld Estate and Balmoral Estate.

The Garbh Allt Shiel waterfalls are particularly breathtaking after heavy rainfall or snow melt

The Honka Hut was rebuilt in 2023 and makes for an excellent pit stop with beautiful views

Invercauld Bridge makes for a very beautiful start to a number of walks in the area

Car parking nearby makes this a great base for some wilderness-feeling bike rides. Oh, and there are places near here for a nice refreshing dip on a hot sunny day.

The bridge is typical of the Balmoral estate, and situated over the picturesque waterfalls. It's a good walk to here from the Kerloch car park, and there is much wildlife to see.
