Beautiful little village nestled among the mountains

Near the lake is the hydroelectric power station, formerly a mill known as the Moulin du Pellaud, built by Henri Bristin in 1921, founder of the Electric Cooperative Society of Lé. The power station provided electricity to the hamlets of Pont, Pellaud and Chaudanne.

Lake Pellaud, also called the Pellaud Lakes, is located in the commune of Rhêmes-Notre-Dame in the Aosta Valley. Lake Pellaud is located in a small forest called Jardin des Anglais, furnished with picnic tables.

A very picturesque hamlet that is part of Rhêmes-Notre-Dame.

beautiful walk, quite simple, from Lake Pellaud to the waterfalls, first part on grassy meadows in the sun, second part path in the middle of the woods along a stream....small difference in altitude and you emerge under the 2 waterfalls, beautiful!!!

The Marmot refuge is open in summer and managed by the Mato Grosso volunteer association. The management is pleasant and it's nice to talk to the volunteers. The food was great and cheap. The Marmotte plain is also a scenic place to rest after a short climb from Rhemes Notre Dame
