Well, it is not possible to access the waterfall because the path is private. There are no special signs to get there. We are frustrated by this walk, especially our 5-year-old granddaughter.

The summit offers a great panoramic view. If you made it up here in the summer, you'll have been able to smell the sheep for some time. A noticeable number of hikers rest here standing up - if you want to enjoy the view for longer than just a breather, bring a seat pad with you. 😉

The Grande Cascade rises on the Durbise plateau at an altitude of 1450 m. It crosses a series of old lava flows about 40 meters thick before the stream passes a lava cliff and offers the spectacle already described here in several comments.
