Enormous long-distance view over the Odenwald.

The café on the central village square offers coffee and cake, as well as small snacks to take away or enjoy on site. If you take the small road leading east out of the village, you'll pass something on the right that seems to have fallen out of time: an old, disused ski lift is slowly approaching its disrepair. Anyone from around here (like me 🤭) knows that there used to be a ski resort here, and even a ski club. Back then, Neunkirchen was almost like the St. Moritz of the Odenwald. It was a long time ago...

The view of Lichtenberg Castle offers a picturesque view of the historic castle complex, perched atop a hill. The castle is clearly visible from the surrounding area and stands majestically within the landscape. The castle can be admired in all its glory, especially from nearby hiking trails. It is a great destination for photographers and nature lovers who appreciate the combination of culture and nature.

From here you have a beautiful view of the castle. The hiking trails here are mostly wide forest paths. The view is beautiful.
