From tíocan in Thoiry at the junction you can go up from the left which is steeper or the right (not that steep). I rather go up from the left and back the other way with nicer views.

Unlike the other Jura summits, the Crêt de la Neige is not predominantly grassy in the crest area, but rather shows a rocky, rugged relief, partly crossed by small ravines. The mountain has a harsh climate with an annual rainfall of about 2000 mm. In deep, unseasoned and sheltered crevasses, the snow can survive the whole summer months.

The Crêt de la Neige is at 1720 m, the highest peak in the entire Jura. It belongs to the Haute Chaîne, the easternmost and highest chain of the French Jura, and is located in the Pays de Gex (Ain), about 17 km northwest of the city of Geneva.

The Reculet is at 1717 m, the second highest peak in the entire Jura. It belongs to the Haute Chaîne, the easternmost and highest chain of the French Jura, and is located in the Pays de Gex (Ain), about 18 kilometers west-northwest of the city of Geneva. The mountain name has the meaning of secluded, remote place.
