The Prospettiva di Corso Giovecca is an architectural structure located in Ferrara at the entrance to Corso della Giovecca starting from Piazza Medaglie d'Oro. Where the Prospettiva currently stands, there was once a gateway to the city of Ferrara through the walls. It was built at the expense of the Municipality between 1703 and 1704 based on a design by Francesco Mazzarelli. In the original project, it consisted of three arches and decorated with marble coats of arms. It was transformed and expanded with the addition of two side passages in the 20th century, when the street was widened.

Grafted onto the curtain wall commissioned by Borso d’Este in the mid-15th century, the current Baluardo dell’Amore, with its characteristic ace of spades shape, was built over a century later. Between 1578 and 1585, Alfonso II d’Este promoted a significant strengthening of the southern fortifications near the Po, making use of military engineers. The Archaeological Park allows you to explore the remains of the curtain wall and the Porta d’Amore, beyond which is the ravelin from 1557. A walkway has been positioned above the curtain wall that connects the route of the walls, including the upper level of the Porta d’Amore.

A monumental gateway to the city, Porta Paola was built in 1612 based on a design by Giovan Battista Aleotti and dedicated to Pope Paul V, who was reigning at the time. Flanked by the bastions of San Paolo and San Lorenzo completed in the 17th century, the Gate was located in the center of the southern section of the walls and had military as well as customs functions. Like all the gates of Ferrara, during the French occupation it was renamed with a more republican name: Porta Reno. It therefore maintains the double name. It currently hosts the Association of the Wine and Flavors Route of the Province of Ferrara, which promotes the excellence of the Ferrara area in the food and wine, culinary and rural and artisan production fields, and the Documentation Center on the Este Walls which aims to raise awareness of the history of the mighty Renaissance fortifications with a series of thematic panels, films, models and multimedia applications. The Palazzo Municipale di Ferrara is a palace in the centre of Ferrara in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna. It is located in Piazza del Municipio 2 and was the residence of the D'Estes until the 16th century, when they moved their court to the neighbouring Castello Estense. Today the palace, which serves as the town hall, houses the city administration of Ferrara.

The Palazzo dei Diamanti (English: Palace of Diamonds) is a museum building in the provincial capital of Ferrara in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy, which houses an important art gallery consisting mainly of works by Ferrara painters. The building, designed by Biagio Rossetti, owes its name to the architecturally unusual design of its marble façade, which was assembled from 12,600 marble blocks on the orders of the builder Ercole I, whose front sides are not flat, but pyramid-shaped and are therefore reminiscent of cut diamonds. A cut diamond was Ercole I's emblem, which he also used in his coat of arms. The early Renaissance building was begun in 1492 and completed in 1567 with the cross cornice.
