The SAC hut is located on the approximately 12-kilometer-long ridge trail from Chasseral to Frinvillier. It's practically always open on weekends. Soup with sausage or coffee with cake are traditional offerings here.

Beautiful place, nice restaurant, good starting point for a hike to and up the Wandflue.

After the hike we were rewarded with a very fine Cordon Bleu.

Nice accommodation. We stayed there on our long-distance hike from Tarifa (Spain) to Switzerland and can highly recommend the mountain restaurant.

The mountain restaurant with a unique panorama The restaurant has been run by the current management since April 1, 2006. Karin and Roland Kilian skilfully set accents. With a variety of dishes, they stand behind an enjoyable cuisine and a gastronomy in which every guest feels comfortable. Is the focus on simpler mountain cuisine after a long hike or is it more a desire for a culinary flight of fancy... Roland Kilian, with his previously earned 16 points in the Gault Millau, is looking forward to the culinary balancing act. When the weather is good, you will find yourself at home in a world that is second to none! We will be retiring from 2024. Last opening day December 23rd, 2023.
