The Mattsand compensation lake is located at an altitude of 1,230 meters. Water from the Mattern Vispa is collected in the lake and then transported north through the 12.5-kilometer-long pressure tunnel towards Törbel and Stalden.

Wonderful place to rest and enjoy the beautiful mountains

Shallow mountain lake where you can walk around. There are benches to enjoy the view.

A trip to the lake in Grächen with lunch in the very friendly restaurant and a subsequent visit to the Kneipp facility is highly recommended 🍷👍
