The Mittelberg is a mountain pass near the language border with western Switzerland. To the north, it descends to Abländschen at the foot of the magnificent Gastlosen mountain range, while to the south, the Grischbach Valley awaits. While the pass is paved, there are various trails for mountain bikers to choose from in various directions.

Bus stop 'Abländschen, Mittelberg'. The PostBus line was set up to facilitate travel for athletes during the summer period. It serves the Fenils Valley from Saanen, the Mittelberg Pass, Abländschen and Jaun from May 4 to October 27, 2024, including general holidays and bridge days. The Sonlomont pass connects the Hongrin and Joux valleys. From the pass, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Lake Hongrin and the Rochers de Naye.

The Col de Lade is a pass in the Friborg Alps located in the shadow of the summit of the Dent du Broc, near the town of Gruyères, famous for its cheese and its medieval castle. At the pass you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and peaks. The best time to visit is from June to October, when the weather is mild and the flowers are in bloom.

The Sonlomont pass is located between the Hongrin and Joux valleys, and offers a breathtaking view of the Hongrin lake and the Rochers de Naye. Enjoy the fresh air and alpine beauty of Col de Sonlomont!

The ascent from the direction is particularly recommended on hot days. It is usually very shady and very cool near the stream.

The ride to the Mittelberg pass is on an asphalt road with varying gradients. The ride through the valley along the stream is beautiful.
