This peaceful lake is a small glacial kettle lake tucked away amongst the rolling hills. Remnants of the last ice age, it is a unique piece of geological history.

The Port of Flensburg forms the maritime heart of the city of Flensburg and is located at the end of the Flensburg Fjord. The new promenade from Werftstraße to Gawlik Park was inaugurated at the beginning of June 2025. Construction cost approximately €33 million. This promenade promises a high quality of stay directly on the Flensburg Fjord. It's also a place to chill. The autonomous ferry is scheduled to operate from here starting in 2026.

The 570-meter-long Fjord Promenade connects the Old Town and the harbor near Nordertor with the New and North Town.
