The Spitalwiese is a wide, sunny meadow at the edge of the forest, perfect for a relaxing break in nature. Here you can sit in the grass, let your gaze wander across the open space, and listen to the buzzing of insects. It's ideal as a quiet stop on hikes, runs, or bike rides.

The Mostalm is permanently closed and no longer operates as a refreshment stop. The building is empty and now serves only as a landmark for hikers exploring the Vienna Woods. Please observe all barriers and signs on site and use other huts or inns for your breaks.

The Hubertuswarte is a historic observation tower in the Lainz Tiergarten park, offering impressive panoramic views of Vienna and the surrounding forests. Named after Hubertus, the patron saint of hunters, the lookout is a popular vantage point for hikers and nature lovers. From here, you can enjoy the natural beauty and, on clear days, glimpse all the way to the Alps.

The St. Nicholas Chapel in the Lainz Tiergarten is a quiet, historic site in the heart of the Vienna Woods. The 12th-century Romanesque chapel is one of Vienna's oldest religious buildings and is idyllically situated on the nature trail near the Nikolaitor Gate. Surrounded by meadows and mature trees, it invites you to take a short rest and offers an atmospheric contrast to the wild nature all around. A place of peace and contemplation—and a worthwhile stop on any tour of the Tiergarten.

First visit to Rohrhaus since reopening. A particularly nice, quick, and friendly waiter, a very juicy cordon bleu with good French fries at a very reasonable price.

It is a nice resting place. Various beautiful hiking trails cross here.

The Nikala Chapel is located just a few steps from the entrance to the Lainzer Tiergarten. Unfortunately, the door to the chapel is usually locked.
