1월 16, 2026, Ermita de la Virgen de Luna
Although the exact date of its construction is unknown, tradition indicates that it was built in the mid-15th century, possibly thanks to a woman from Los Pedroches who promoted the construction of the first hermitage. According to legend, the image of the Virgin was found by a shepherd from Pedroche in a holm oak near the sanctuary at the beginning of the 15th century.

The Church of San Pedro (now the Minor Basilica of San Pedro) is one of the oldest and most historic churches in Córdoba. It was built on the remains of a 4th-century basilica that housed the remains of the Cordoban martyrs Januarius, Martial, and Faustus. After the Christian conquest (1236), Ferdinand III ordered its construction between the 13th and 14th centuries, forming part of the Ferdinandine churches.

The Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba is one of the most impressive monuments in the world, a symbol of Islamic art in the West and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1984. It was originally the Visigothic Basilica of San Vicente, shared by Christians and Muslims. In 784, Abd al-Rahman I began construction of the mosque, which was expanded by his successors: Abd al-Rahman II, Abd al-Rahman III, Al-Hakam II, and Almanzor. After the Christian Reconquista in 1236, it was consecrated as the Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady, and in 1523 a Renaissance basilica was built inside.

The Puente Mocho Bridge connects the CH-1 highway with the CO-3103 highway, which will take us to the town of Villafranca de Córdoba. This route is popular with cyclists, as its paved road is in good condition and the low traffic of motor vehicles makes it very safe. The route is winding with continuous ups and downs, making it a perfect area for training.

Cardeña is a town in the north of the province of Córdoba with a population of just over 1,400 inhabitants, at an altitude of 821 meters above sea level. The municipality of this beautiful town includes the small towns of La Venta del Charco and Azuel. The population trend, as in most towns in Spain, has been declining, with a loss of almost 500 inhabitants since 1979. It's worth stopping by its bakeries selling bread and typical local pastries, as well as traditional cured meats, and of course, enjoying a few beers while enjoying its gastronomy.

Cardeña is a small but historically and naturally important municipality in the region. It is located in the northeast of the province of Córdoba and is part of the Parque Natural Sierra de Cardeña y Montoro, a protected natural area. Cardeña is an ideal place for a break by bike, good food and nature worth seeing. Perfect for a bike tour with a culinary break in picturesque surroundings! The region was sparsely populated for a long time and was strategically used as a border area between Christian and Muslim dominions in the Middle Ages. During the reign of Charles III (1759-1788), Spain encouraged the settlement of remote areas. As a result of this colonization policy, several small villages were created in the Sierra Morena, including Cardeña.

The Torre Campanario in Córdoba is an impressive structure with a rich history. Originally built in the 9th century as a minaret during the reign of Abd ar-Rahman III, it served as the muezzin's call to prayer. After the Christian reconquest in 1236, the minaret was converted into a bell tower. At 54 metres high, it is the tallest building in the city. It has only been possible to climb and visit the bell tower again in recent years. From here you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the old town of Córdoba and the surrounding parks and gardens. The bells of the tower continue to play an important role in the liturgical life of the cathedral. Some of these bells have names such as "Asunción" or "San Zoilo" and are inscribed with details such as the year they were made or the coat of arms of the bishop who commissioned them.

The Iglesia de San Lorenzo in Córdoba is one of the most beautiful and best preserved Romanesque-Gothic churches in the city. It is one of the so-called "Fernandinas churches", built or rebuilt after the reconquest of Córdoba by Ferdinand III of Castile in the 13th century. The church was built in the 13th century on the ruins of a previous mosque. It served to strengthen the Christian presence in the city after the Reconquista. It has been restored several times in the past, adding Gothic, Baroque and later neoclassical elements. The church's bell tower is based on the minaret of the former mosque and has been adapted over time. The church continues to be used as an active parish church.

12월 16, 2024, Iglesia de San Francisco y San Eulogio de Córdoba
"Church of San Francisco and San Eulogio" - The Church of San Francisco is one of the so-called Fernandina churches, since it was founded in the 13th century by the Castilian King Fernando III. Its original name and use as such was "Monastery of San Pedro el Real". The monastery was administered by the Franciscan Order, hence the current name of the church. The building was declared a Site of Cultural Interest in the Monument category in 1982. King Ferdinand III of Castile conquered the city of Córdoba for the Christian armies on June 29, 1236, the day of Saints Peter and Paul. For this reason, the king founded the monastery for the Franciscans, from which the name of the current church "San Francisco" derives. A comprehensive renovation of the church in the 18th century changed its medieval bastil to a baroque appearance. A very interesting building!
