Lihapyörre Pond is a scenic spot nestled along a bend in the Somerjoki River, where towering pines line the banks. The river enters and exits along distinct, winding routes, adding to the area's charm. It's the perfect place to pause, take in the tranquil surroundings, and enjoy the view.

The campground is excellent. About 40€ per night, at sandy beach and lots of space for everybody. No mosquitos!

Sotkamo is a picturesque known for its stunning natural beauty, with dense forests, crystal-clear lakes, and the dramatic Vuokatti hills. Vuokatti, a well-known resort area and is particularly famous for its winter sports, however, in the summer, Vuokatti transforms into a paradise for outdoor sports and water activities like canoeing and kayaking on the nearby lakes.

Lipposensalmi is a typical Finnish shelter – a small wooden hut with a fireplace, seating areas and a dry toilet. It provides a lovely place to admire the lake scenery.
