Kuivasjärvi is a shallow lake in northern Oulu, known as a rich bird habitat. Its outlet stream, Kuivasoja, flows about five kilometers west through protected woodland before reaching the sea. Together they form a green corridor where water, wildlife, and city life meet.

The Merikoski fish ladder in Oulu is 750 meters long with 64 steps leading past the power plant. From May to October, you can watch salmon and trout making their way upstream.

Here on the trail of Koiralatu you walk through a varied taiga where spruce stands shift into open pine woods and bright birch groves. Moss and heather cover the ground, while small wetlands bring a gentle pause to your path.

The bridge is located in a picturesque setting, with the Kiiminkijoki River running beneath it, surrounded by lush forests and rural landscapes.

On this gravel road, you can enjoy a typical Finnish landscape. Here the only sound you'll hear will be the one made by the tyres on the terrain.
