At 518 meters, this point is the highest elevation of the Ohrdrufer Platte and specifically the Gossener Plateaus. Stone walls on the Ebanotte indicate a prehistoric castle site.
Unfortunately, due to climate change, the summit of the Stony Mountain is visible from afar, as the spruce forests on its slopes have now disappeared. Hopefully, reforestation will be successful.
Here in the summit area at an altitude of 541.6m above sea level there is a shelter; the moat remains of the former castle/palace that once stood here are clearly visible.
