From my own experience, I highly recommend family trips and the Railway Adventure Day. The Öchsle Railway staff are very professional, and you get a fascinating insight into the operation of a railway.

Beautiful monastery with a great cafe and a lovely herb garden to the west of the monastery.

Beautiful scenery. Often expansive views over green meadows and yellow rapeseed fields. Moderately difficult hike, as trees in forest areas block the path due to windbreaks. The language used to guide the route is sometimes a bit confusing due to overlapping paths. The simple monastery church is definitely worth seeing. Good monastery cafe (12 noon - 5 p.m.)
