The Hofbühl is a 510 m high former volcanic vent about a kilometer north of Neuhausen an der Erms (Reutlingen district) and offers a wonderful view of Neuhausen. It is one of the approximately 350 volcanic vents in the Urach-Kirchheimer volcanic area. The summit area consists of volcanic basalt tuff and is more resistant than the surrounding Brown Jurassic, which has been eroded over the millennia.
