One of the most beautiful old towns in Germany. The half-timbered houses have all been lavishly renovated. The Christmas market and medieval market are set up every year on the large market square and are very popular. Unfortunately, the popular annual onion festival in summer took place for the last time in 2018

At the top near the castle there is a free parking space for cars with no time limit. From there it's a five-minute walk to the castle or Thick Tower.

Esslingen has a very beautiful old town with beautiful streets and many half-timbered houses. A stroll through the streets is always worthwhile.

For me, one of the most beautiful old towns anywhere, with fantastically preserved and well-maintained half-timbered houses. The mystical, medieval Christmas market was great, but I will definitely come back in the summer to marvel at "Little Venice" again.
