What on earth is wrong with the people who designed this greenway with its dozens and dozens of barriers? It quickly becomes unbearable and spoils all the fun of a greenway.

With two decks and two double inverted ramps, this "finished" slipway constitutes a unique structure in our region: we only find this type in Saumurois, in Cunault and St Rémy-la-Varenne. The writer Hervé Bazin lived in the Emeronce house in 1960-1961, where he wrote the novel "In the Name of the Son."

Created on a former railway line, this Greenway with a stabilized surface of fairly good quality makes it possible to avoid 36km of dangerous road between Carquefou, on the north-eastern outskirts of the Nantes metropolitan area, and Saint-Mars-la-Jaille, on the edge of Maine-et-Loire. Along the greenway you will find a wagon topped with a Brau harvester. These harvesters, manufactured not far away in Saint Marc la Jaille, were transported by train to Nantes. The train was therefore nicknamed the blue train.
