We did the bike tour in the fall. Because of the wind on Mont Ventoux, it felt even colder than the actual temperature. So, be sure to pack warm clothes; maybe even change your clothes at the summit. It didn't get any warmer during the descent ;). We would have liked to have brought warm gloves. Overall: fantastic!

First 4km or so quite loose and corse rocks on rather steep terrain. Then it gets more compacted and less rocky. Good enough grip for descending with 40mm knobby tires on a gravel bike. To go up I recommend the other gravel route called Piste du Jas de la Couanche or Komoot highlight called Gravel Highway https://www.komoot.com/highlight/4852349

One of my favorite climbs here. Nice and steady, no steep ramps, relatively good surface, depending on how long it's been since you last climbed the loose gravel, and a length you wouldn't find back home in the Heuvelland.

Beautiful, but you should approach the descent with caution, especially on the way down. Due to the road's position in the ravine, it usually curves to the right, so you only see oncoming traffic in the tunnel – or extremely limited cyclists who stop right there to look – and since it's so narrow, it can quickly become the same. After the first full-throttle descent, I learned to prefer cruising. At least in the tunnels, which become fewer and fewer towards the end.
