The structure is an asymmetrical cable-stayed bridge made of pre-stressed concrete, approximately 75 metres long. The pylon inclined at 15° to the vertical has the shape of an inverted V; the deck crosses this pylon without resting on it.

One of the last strongholds of the resistance in the Second World War on this expansive 1,400-metre (4,593 ft) high plateau. There’s a large memorial where anyone can pay their respects. It was one of the first gravel sections in recent times to have been included in the Tour de France (2018).
