Reichenstein Castle is a small and architecturally uniquely well-preserved spur castle, the complete exterior of which only really comes into its own on aerial photographs. Reichenstein is a real gem! It is firmly embedded in the wooded green of the Reichenstein mountain. Particularly striking is its chimney-like keep with its pointed roof and the balcony reminiscent of a pitch nose, which reaches far into the Basel landscape sky. Unfortunately, the castle is not open to the public, but can be rented for parties and events. The ascent to the castle takes place via several, sometimes steep, paths. Attention! Car-free!!!
