One of the ideal areas to start the Plazaola greenway

Gothic House Gothic house from the end of the 15th century, which is notable for the enormous pointed doorway with a moulded ring and large voussoirs, on the keystone of which a quartered coat of arms is engraved, on the first and fourth floors, three bands with wolves inscribed on them, and on the second and third floors, panels. On the second floor, there are three pairs of twinned windows, with semicircular arches, with second lobed arches with balls and ogees. The wooden eaves that crown the building are notable.

Except for the short 16% ramp, getting there was super smooth and easy.

Santa María de Eunate is a Romanesque church on the Aragonese branch of the Way of St. James in Navarre. The church was built at the end of the 12th century in the Romanesque style with Mozarabic influences. The octagonal design is a reference to the Templars. There used to be a hospice here that belonged to the Order of St. John and today it is a hostel for pilgrims.

It is important to bring lights for the tunnels and some clothing for the long tunnels, including in summer.

This ascent is so tricky with a heavy pack, harder than crossing the Pyrenees. Loose gravel ground and super steep so you cannot push properly. Took me like 20 mins to pass. Try avoid if you are heading to Pamplona

First section of Via Verde de Plazuela. We leave Pamplona suburbs. First part on a new road, a very quiet conventional circuit, at some point we will have to be careful because we cross some road although with little traffic, the average route passes through a road parallel to the old national road where we go through a tunnel that is shared with vehicles, regulated by traffic lights, to cross two imposing rock formations known as The Two Sisters, while we border both sides of the river. The route gains as we advance, gaining splendor in the last 5-8 km. where it fully follows the old train path, surrounded by vegetation, for about 3 km. Before reaching Lekunberri, a waterfall and springs that come down from the mountain stand out. Easy circuit, although at some points there are some slopes that we then have to go down.
