On the Upper Don Valley section of the Trans Pennine Trail, the tunnel is part of the abandoned railway line between Penistone and Wortley. It's lit and super echoy so quite fun to play in. It's also always really cold, so great on a hot summer day.

great ride little bit boggy in the spring and winter months buthd but very nice ride in a semi urban setting.recomended for a nice 18.3 mile ride.mainly off road using tracks paths and cycle route 67 .

Easy access to the river Don from the Sheffield canal, just behind New York Stadium and Booths metal. Might think about ringing your bell on the blind corner under the bridge at riverside.

I’m not certain of the history behind this bench, but its unique design makes it an interesting spot to pause and rest as you journey along the Trans Pennine Trail.

The section from the bottom of the field after Morthern Lane, up to the Wind Turbines is very rutted, has loose stones & rocks, and a few inset timbers laid across the trail which are very slippy when wet 👍

Conisbrough Viaduct is an impressive railway structure that was build in the mid-19th century. It features 21 arches and spans the River Don, connecting the towns of Conisbrough and Mexborough.

The Trans Pennine Trail is a super good multi-use trail that links the North and Irish Seas via Hornsea to Southport. At 215 miles (346 km), it is a brilliant long trail that traverses the Pennines, travels alongside rivers and canals, as well as going through some of the most charming towns in England. Sprotbrough is one such place, being one of the nicest riverside towns out there with so many attractions such as Sprotbrough Weir, Sprotbrough Flash Nature Reserve, and of course nearby iconic Conisbrough Viaduct.
