Main gates into the Sandringham Estate with a nice avenue beyond, there is a nice cycle path through the estate, but be warned it is often closed to bike due to events, this was the case when we visited and we had to detour.

I call it a climb... it's Norfolk so more of a bump, however lovely road surface.

A lovely final streatch across the fields before heading up to Ringstead an the coast at Hunstanton where the Peddars Way concludes in this direction. The surface here is quite badly rutted in some places and will be difficult to navigate unless you have experience, we say motocross bikes using this segment and I would also assume small farm vehicles have used parts of it too, this is has created the deep ruts, I imagine this is very difficult to use in the winter. The final part is downhill so this adds to the complexity of the ride here due to the aforementioned ruts, there is a nice bench near the bottom with a good view.

The grand approach to Sandringham's (private) main entrance at the elaborate Norwich Gates, reached by a short, sharp climb from Dersingham.

The King's English country estate is a huge and impressive area of woods and parkland, with shaded roads and scenic views aplenty.

It's the only bench I can recall between Castle Acre and the sea, so make good use of it. :)

The Norwich gates of the Royal family's Sandringham estate. This is where the Royal Family typically spend Christmas. The Sandringham estate is located just outside of Sandringham in the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

brilliant off road traffic free path all through Sandringham park it was stunning. it leads you to the cafe, Mary Magdalene church and the entrance Sandringham house

Sandringham Estate was famously the Queen's favourite country retreat. Surrounded by 20,000 acres of gardens, parks and woodland, the estate is a beautiful stretch of NCN National Route 1. Practical matters: If you're intending to stay and have a longer look around, there is limited bike parking in the Courtyard near the ticket office. Bicycles are not permitted in the Gardens, however cycling in the Royal Park is welcomed. You will need to carry everything with you as there are no lockers / luggage storage facilities.

Lovely roads all around here to roll around, and her majesty's grounds are good for families and dogs too.

A great place to take a break with the end almost in sight.

Nice to ride through the queens back garden. There is a punchy little climb in here somewhere as well.

The spire of this magnificent church, is only over-topped by Norwich Cathedral, so it's certainly the tallest thing in the region. In fact, it's been used as a navigational marker by sailors in The Wash for hundreds of years.
