The Marina is a great place to run. It is really flat and you can run past all the boats along the paths. The beach is close by and there are cafes and pubs that you can start or finish it. There's also public toilets there and there is a nice 5k loop or more

Cefn Bryn at 188 metres is a UK designated ‘Hump,’ which is a hill with a 100 metres of prominence. The top is marked by a trig point with marvellous views down over Three Cliffs Bay.

Low bridge - probably best to lower your saddle - or even better - walk your bike under this bridge

Well maintained tow path and is quite tranquil

This is a great section of NCN 4 which crosses over the River Neath parallel to the elevated M4 motorway. It's quite an industrial stretch but the views are great, and the cycle path is segregated from the road.

View to Three Cliffs Bay, long descent to the west, shorter & steeper east.

Swansea Marina, is the place "where the city meets the sea", located behind the Swansea barrage at the mouth of the River Tawe.

Lower Lliw Cafe is open between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Nov - Feb) and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. the rest of the year.

Along Swansea's seafront, there is a wonderful bike path that traces Swansea Bay. With fantastic views across the bay, the traffic-free path leads 5.8 miles (9.3 km) between the Observatory and Mumbles Head. The path passes plenty of cafes, restaurants and pubs if you get thirsty or hungry along the way.

A fantastic piece of cycle path for the more adventurous type. Had to bash my way through a couple of spots with encroaching reeds... great fun!

A great spot to stop for a cuppa and a slice of cake (or even something more substantial)... the orange cake was superb.

This is the Neath canal crossing the river Neath at Ynysarwed.

Ystalyfera is in another valley - Swansea Valley 😂
