Coltishall Station is one of the narrow gauge stations on the Bure Valley Railway line. It's also an access point for the nine mile (14.5 km) Bure Valley Path.

I've ridden Marriotts way many times, and it's a great route. However foolishly I didn't appreciate how muddy many parts of it get when it's been wet.

Marriott's Way is a 26-mile (42km) surfaced multi-user path which follows the routes of two disused railway lines, running between Aylsham and Norwich.

Pleasure to ride this mostly continuous path from Aylsham to Norwich (in dry conditions) through changing settings and off-road surfaces

It's a nice feature to test your handle bars cycling up to the road. :) However, once up on the road, do not get confused by the Marriott Way sign across the road pointing leftward, as you need to turn right and left onto Station Road and descend down quite a chunky gravel descent (possibly due to construction work).

The ruins show just how large this place was in its heyday. The small remaining part now forms a fairly large parish church.

Nice spot to stop for a snack and a rest but plenty to learn too, if you find time to read the information boards.

This was a lovely off road bike ride and ideal for families. Unfortunately, ruined by out of control dogs off leads, or if on a lead it is a long lead that is barely visible so is a trip hazard. Lots of dogs jump up at you and chase after livestock. I ride responsibly with regard for other users on this shared path but I will not be riding it again any time soon. It’s a shame as I have used it for many years but I’ve had enough of the large amount of dog walkers who use this trail.

Binham Priory is a ruined Benedictine priory that was founded in the late 11th Century. The nave of the priory church has become the Church of St. Mary and is still in use today. It's an incredibly peaceful place to take a break in the North Norfolk Coast AONB.

The priory is steeped in rich history, having been founded in 1091 and being home to a Benedictine community of monks for 400 years. Feel free to explore the grounds and get lost in its architecture and history.

Binham Priory is among the most complete and impressive monastic ruins in Norfolk. This Benedictine priory was founded in 1091 by Peter des Valoines, a nephew of William the Conqueror. Many of its priors were unscrupulous and the history of the priory is one of almost continuous scandal. The nave of the priory church, with its splendid 13th century west front and fine tiers of Norman arches, is now the parish church, and displays the former rood screen with medieval saints overpainted with Protestant texts. Striking position on a prominent rise above the valley - you can see St Mary's Church in the distance on the far side.

Perfect spot for an iced coffee and piece of cake. Nice shaded seating areas.
