I find it safe to lock my bike in the market square. They are visible from the cafe windows and the entrance to the fish and chip shop. It gives a bit of peace of mind.

Easy road, nice environment

Your normal pub menu, a bit challenging to find place for bikes.

A convenient stop with easy access to toilets and great ice cream. It’s ideal for a quick refill, though be prepared for long queues at the counter. The paninis and sandwiches aren’t the best, but it serves its purpose.

Nice view and some interesting pieces of art around. The park itself maintains the feel of being 'constructed' rather than grown.

The motorway right besides is quite noise, which disturbs the experience considerably. Also the part closer to the national bowl is a bit shabby. For the rest quite green pseudo-nature, but relaxing by bike.

Guc is great fun to ride along

The Bampton Valley Way is a 14-mile (22.5km) disused railway trail between Northampton and Market Harborough. It's a well surfaced multi-user trail, perfect for easy rides, families or as part of a commute. The trail follows a section of the old Northampton–Market Harborough railway line. It opened in 1859 and closed in 1981.

Great spot to take in the views across Pitsford Arm.

Great place to run with a mixture of path types some super fast (MK Redways) and some smaller paths. Lots of places to stop to eat, buy food and art installations.

Great Lake to run around, paths are a little bumpy but that doesn’t spoil the run

These unique, man-made lakes, formed by the extraction of clay for the nearby potteries, have become a haven for wildlife and make a pleasant passage on your bike

The MK Rose is a big round monument in Campbell Park, with lots of different height & coloured pillars arranged in concentric circles around a central point. 'Designed for commemoration, celebration and contemplation' according to the website... certainly an interesting sight if you've never seen it or found it by accident like me lol.

This old bridge sits over the remnants of an old regional railway line that used to run to/from Towcester and join up with the Northampton to Bedford line near the Yardley Hastings ammo depot. The tracks themselves are long gone but peering over the sides you can see the remains of the old track bed with trees either side going off into the distance.
