Heverleebos. Forest on the outskirts of the magnificent city of Leuven. Its paths, perfect for gravel riding, hosted the 2023 European Gravel Championships (with victories by Lorena Wiebes and local rider Jasper Stuyven) and the 2024 Gravel World Championships (with victories by Marianne Vos and Mathieu van der Poel).

The Old Castle of Marbais is a 13th-century medieval castle. It is located on a rocky spur overlooking the confluence of the Thyle and the Ri des Goutailles valley, in Marbais, within the municipality of Villers-la-Ville. This site was once part of the former seigneury of Marbais.

When the ponds are filled with water, it will be beautiful there. Due to the long drought, 3 ponds were dry.

Singletrack with a fantastic view

The nature reserve owes its name to the Zoete Waters, a series of ponds and marshes that have been created over the centuries by the riverbed of the Dijle. The area is characterised by a varied landscape of water, grasslands and forests, which makes it an ideal habitat for many animal species. Birdwatchers can indulge themselves here, with a rich offer of both residential and migratory birds. Other wild animals, such as squirrels, deer and foxes, are also regularly spotted in the wooded part of the area.
