Altidona is a town in the Val d'Aso. Archaeological findings trace the origins of Altidona back to 150,000 years ago. It was then inhabited by the Pelasgians, an ancient Greek people, and then by the Piceni. In 485 BC. the Romans arrived.  The village is certainly pretty, even if not my favorite in the Fermo area

The castle of Moresco, within the Association of the most beautiful villages in Italy, stands on the top of a hill overlooking the Aso valley below; in the Middle Ages it was a stronghold of the Municipality of Fermo in the war against Ascoli.
