The 43rd parallel of the northern hemisphere is an imaginary line on the Earth's surface that crosses the Municipality of Grottammare along its path. At the exact point where it runs, along the cycle path that connects Grottammare to Cupra Marittima, the Dream Point 43rd parallel was inaugurated on May 5, 2012, consisting of a sculptural group of Ascoli travertine and white Abruzzo stone, created by the master Francesco Santori. The Sentina Nature Reserve, from the mouth of the Tronto River to the north, is a green oasis in which marine ecosystems coexist, such as sand dunes, brackish areas and a remarkable variety of birds. The cycle/pedestrian path runs along a dirt path, with access points to the pristine beach.

Peaceful place along the Tronto cycle path. There are also benches and a fountain.

We are waiting for the connection with the Sentina Nature Reserve, which will allow us to avoid the SS16 roundabout. In the meantime, the cycle path starts here.

The Dreamworld, a 5-meter diameter globe, walkable, with over a thousand lights that draw seas and continents, had been exhibited in the square by the sea for a whole year, arousing great curiosity from tourists. Small acts of vandalism then discouraged its re-display; dismantled by the technicians of the Municipality at the end of January 2024, it is not yet certain that in the future it can be repositioned in Piazza Kursaal.

It's a nice climb to get there but the place is worth it for a bit of relaxation and some photos of the still life and the view!
