A very steep climb on a forest road. The number of vans carrying hikers up to the Micheluzzi refuge is shameful. It's not pleasant to cycle up this climb; the drivers show no respect for cyclists or hikers. After the refuge, the valley opens up, the vans stop passing, and it becomes a pleasant ride again.

Great view, but if you go towards Sella Brunech, you should know that both up and down are very steep and slippery, despite the forest road, ski area paths.

The Val di Fassa cycle path is one of the valley's best infrastructures. It allows you to move between the valley's villages on foot or by bike, without ever having to worry about traffic.

Parts of the trail at the valley exit, where the climb really begins, were in extremely poor condition: washed out, with large stones, gravel and scree, and crumbling concrete. Experienced mountain bikers have fallen before my eyes, more or less hopping from rock to rock or sinking into the gravel pit.

Campitello di Fassa, framed by the Dolomites, is a popular base for those who love cycling thanks to its strategic position in the heart of Val di Fassa. From here, historic climbs start, such as the one towards Passo Sella, Passo Pordoi and Passo Fedaia, which allow you to try mountain routes immersed in spectacular landscapes. The variety of routes offers possibilities for cyclists of different preparations, also including dirt paths and panoramic roads to explore the upper valley, with rest points between the refuges and surrounding villages.

Mazzin, located at 1,372 meters above sea level, is the smallest municipality in the Val di Fassa and includes the hamlets of Campestrin and Fontanazzo. Known as the village of "pitores", it boasts Casa Battel, the only rustic-noble manor in the valley with decorative elements and frescoes of artistic value. The backdrop of the village is dominated by the imposing rock faces of the Catinaccio d'Antemonia, Cima Dodici and Col Bel.
