The fence in between, painted in the colors of Slovenia, serves not as a border fence, but as a protective barrier for cyclists and the railway.

The Piazza della Vittoria is strategically located as Gorizia's main square. Inviting restaurants have settled around the square. Excellently preserved and renovated buildings make the square a first-class gem.
